Shooting in Béarn and the Basque Country

Authorization for filming in Béarn Pays basque

Agence du Film 64 assists producers and location managers by providing useful contacts and authorization forms for filming in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department, in Pau and all the communes of Béarn, or in Bayonne, Biarritz, Anglet and all the towns and villages of the Basque Country.

Palais Beaumont à Pau - Agence du film 64

Agence du Film 64 is involved in location scouting, helping to find and negotiate the use of filming sites. It provides information on the various authorizations to be obtained, the steps to be taken regarding deadlines, insurance certificates, informing local residents, etc. Agence du Film 64 offers a hand-picked list of contacts , enabling the location manager to find the right person to obtain filming permits from private individuals and from municipal, departmental and government authorities, for example, in response to a request to cut off a street, to reserve parking spaces for technical vehicles and their access, etc… Agence du Film 64 examines requests and helps to obtain all necessary authorizations to facilitate filming on the public highway and on public or private property.
It is available to study the feasibility of the project, and is the key contact throughout the application process.

Each shooting location requires a specific authorization, and to facilitate obtaining one, the location manager is advised to present a complete document on the audiovisual project in progress, together with an extract from the script concerned, which will provide a better understanding of requirements, shooting and site occupation times, equipment used (lighting, crane, etc.), technical details (artificial rain, etc.), any special requests (traffic signs, parking, etc.), the number of technicians and the project (short film, drama, feature film, documentary, reality TV, music video, commercial, etc.)..), number of technicians and project (short film, fiction, feature film, documentary, reality TV, music video, commercial…).
